Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026 · Last updated: September 25, 2026

This policy explains how Sungjun Lee (“we”, “us”), the developer of the Mac app Nodii (the “App”) and its related online service (together, the “Service”), handles personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Information we collect

Information How we get it Why
Email address You enter it when you sign up or sign in To identify your account and send sign-in codes
Goals, to-dos, routines and completion records You enter them in the App To store your data and sync it between your Macs
Time zone and first day of the week Time zone is read from your Mac’s settings; first day of the week is chosen by you To calculate dates correctly and display the calendar

The App does not ask for your name, phone number, location, contacts, photos or any other information not listed above. Regular users sign in without a password, using a one-time code sent to their email.

Like most online services, our server provider (Supabase) automatically keeps technical logs of requests to our server. These logs may include your IP address, device and browser information (user agent) and the time of each request. We use them only to operate and secure the Service, and on our current plan they are deleted automatically after 1 day.

2. How we use information

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing or profiling.

3. Consent and withdrawing consent

By creating an account and using the App, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal information for the purposes described in this policy. We will ask for your consent again before using your information for any new purpose.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account in the App (Settings (설정) → Delete account (계정 삭제)) or by contacting us. Because the App cannot sync your data without this information, withdrawing consent means you will no longer be able to use the Service.

4. Tracking and advertising

The App contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools. We do not combine your information with data collected from other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not track you.

5. Retention and deletion

Sign-in information and cached data stored on your Mac are removed from that Mac when you sign out or delete your account.

6. Service providers and storage outside Canada

We use the following service providers to run the App.

Provider Purpose Information processed
Supabase Account authentication, database storage and sync (database hosted in the AWS us-west-1 region, Northern California, United States) Email address, content you enter, time zone and first day of the week
Resend Sending sign-in code emails Email address

Because these providers store and process your information in the United States, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. We rely on these providers’ contractual commitments to protect your information, and they may use it only to provide their services to us.

7. Your choices and rights

8. Security

9. Children

The App is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; when you visit it, GitHub logs and stores your IP address for security purposes. See the GitHub Privacy Statement for details.

11. Contact

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, where British Columbia’s PIPA applies, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the changes and the new effective date on this page. If a change is material, such as using your information for a new purpose or sharing it with a new type of service provider, we will post it at least 30 days before it takes effect and email the address on your account. Where the law requires your consent to a change, we will ask for it before the change applies to you.
