Terms of Use
1. The service
These terms govern your use of the Mac app Nodii (the “App”) and its related online service (together, the “Service”), provided by Sungjun Lee (“we”, “us”). The Service lets you record to-dos and routines grouped by goal and sync them across Macs signed in to the same account.
If you downloaded the App from the Mac App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App. If it conflicts with these terms, Apple’s agreement governs your use of the App itself.
2. Price
The Service is free. There are no in-app purchases.
3. Your account
- You sign up and sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address.
- Use an email address that belongs to you, and do not share your account with others.
- You can delete your account at any time in the App’s settings. Deleting your account also deletes your data.
4. Your content
- You own the goals, to-dos and routines you enter.
- We process your content only as needed to provide the Service (storage and sync). See the Privacy Policy for details.
5. Prohibited use
- Signing up with someone else’s email address or trying to access another account
- Placing excessive load on, or otherwise interfering with, the Service or its servers
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Trying to bypass the Service’s security, or accessing the Service by automated means other than the App
If you break these rules, we may suspend or delete your account. Unless the situation is urgent, such as a threat to the security of the Service or other users, we will first contact you at the email address on your account and give you a chance to respond.
6. Changes to and suspension of the Service
We may change features or stop providing the Service. Older versions of the App may need to be updated to keep working. If we decide to stop providing the Service entirely, we will email the address on your account at least 30 days before it shuts down. Until then, you can ask for a copy of your goals, to-dos and routines by writing to the contact address below, and we will send it to you in a common file format such as JSON.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your data will never be lost, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived or limited by contract.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of British Columbia, unless the consumer protection laws of the place where you live give you the right to bring the dispute before your local courts.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the changes and the new effective date on this page. If a change is material, we will post it at least 30 days before it takes effect and email the address on your account. Minor changes, such as clarifications or corrections, take effect when posted. If you do not agree to the new terms, you can stop using the Service and delete your account; continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.
